Westies have, once again, won with this Muslim-owned fusion Yakiniku! Located in a coffee shop at Jurong West Street 42, Yugo Yakiniku offers more than just grilled meat! The term 'Yugo' in Japanese translates to 'fusion', which is how Yugo Yakiniku came about as both founders are of different races - Chinese and Malay, each with their own unique cooking technique.
The hawker stall specialises in an array of affordable donburis (rice bowls) that are available all day, including Chicken Aburi Don ($5.50), Beef Aburi Don ($6.50), Karubi Don ($8), and Wagyu Cube Don ($9.50). All the meat from the donburis is glazed in a special sauce which is then torched to enhance the meat's sweetness. The donburis are available from 11am-10pm every Thursday-Tuesday (except Wednesdays).

The stall offers 12 variations of chicken and beef, including quality beef from USDA and Australia! Prices range from $3.50 for the Chicken Dendeng (100g) to $10 for the Wagyu Ramp (100g). They also offer combo sets from $15 and you can even opt to add on mushrooms or lettuce to enjoy your meat wrapped just like in any Korean BBQ! The grilling options are only available from 5pm-10pm on weekdays (except Wednesdays) and 11am-10pm on weekends.
The concept is similar to any yakiniku place! Simply place your order and the meats will be delivered right to your table where you can grill them on a portable grill yourself. The meats come with two dipping sauces - their homemade sambal and yakiniku sauce.
This makes it a great place if you're looking for somewhere affordable to have a meal and chat with your friends or family! So, if you're still thinking of where to get your yakiniku fix, you should definitely try out Yugo Yakiniku!
