Finding a verified Muslim-friendly cafe in KL or Klang Valley can be a challenge! If you have ever been to a Malaysian city, you might have noticed signs like "pork-free" or "alcohol-free" splattered across restaurants and cafes. In the past, these seemingly self-explanatory signs were enough to get any Muslim through the front door. But nowadays, most of us have become a little more discerning with our food choices. We want to spend our time in nice cafes, enjoy the ambience, take beautiful (insta-worthy) photos and not have to worry about whether our food is truly halal or not.
The problem is that there aren't very many certified halal independent cafes in KL or Klang Valley. So the only way you will know whether a place is Muslim-friendly is to ask the cafe yourself. Luckily for you, we have done just that! We've rounded up some of the best Muslim-friendly independent cafes for you to visit on your next trip to Malaysia.
