“Located at 20 Labouchere Road, South Perth, Western Australia, Australia ??. The Perth Zoo is similar to Taronga in the way it’s laid out. There’s zones as where the animals are kept according to what their continent is. The zoo is very well maintained, and there’s a wide range of animals that are kept here. They appear to be well kept. They have very spacious enclosures and I liked the educational talks that’s were being held at certain places and times. I visited on a week day so there wasn’t as many people as there would have been on a weekend or holiday season. I would recommend this if you want to avoid crowds. There’s a cafe but the food is expensive but I was sort of expecting that. There’s ample seating available around the zoo to rest. I spent about 5 hours here. I have been to various zoos and this was just as good. I enjoyed my day. I would recommend a visit. Cost of tickets are - Adults $38.10 Australian Concession $30.20 Children (4-15 years) $19.05 Senior (Australian Pensioner Concession Holder) $30.20 Children Under 4 Years $0.00 Carers (National Companion Card Holder) $0.00 Mini Group (2 Adults, 2 Children) $100.30 I would recommend buying your ticket online before coming. Thumbs up!!! ???” “I loved it. Spent easily 5 hours just trying to spot all of the animals. The fun is letting the animals be in their natural habitat and then trying to spot them. Do know that the animals also have their active time and resting time so you can't fault them when they're hiding during the heat of the day. If there's little screaming children around, just wait patiently for a while until they've moved on and the animals will make their appearance again ?”
“Even though my stay at Aloft was short, it was truly enjoyable. The front desk and breakfast staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. A special thank you to the housekeeping team for preparing my room exactly as requested. It made a real difference! My super late check-in and early check-out were seamless, which I really appreciated. Plus, my river view corner room was both comfortable and lovely. Out of my one-month trip across Australia, this was the best Marriott hotel experience I had. The exceptional service, comfort, and attention to detail set it apart. Overall, a fantastic stay, and I hope to visit again soon. Thanks to the entire team for making my stay so smooth and enjoyable!” “Luxury on a budget! ? I stayed there on the weekend & had a great experience , definitely recommend! I will most definitely be going back. - The rooms are quite nice & luxurious , clean & had an amazing view of the city. - rang at 1pm on the day asking for early check in when it was originally 3pm and they catered to that ! Was great & convenient. - the check in was so quick & easy and staff are friendly & helpful . - the bar on the lobby floor is cute & peaceful - so so easy to get ubers in & out and ubers were actually really cheap to get to Elizabeth quay despite it being Saturday & peak times with the rugby on aswell - the beds are large & comfy which is amazing when you usually have a toddler taking up all your space ?? - had no problems at all with hearing outside noise or anything like that. Quiet & peaceful. - we weren't sure if we were allowed to bring fast food to the rooms but they had no problem at all & had told us to even get menulog to the hotel so it's easier for us ?? but Red rooster, pizza place etc is literally at the lights Infront of the hotel if you feel like a late night feed. If your planning on chilling in the hotel bring your chromecast as you can hook it up to the tv & connect to wifi. Saying this all out of a genuine review ! I honestly recommend & loved it ! ? I've stayed at the crown etc and prefer this more.”
“Great location and a cute modern hotel. Very clean and minimalistic design choices. The front desk team upgraded my room to a studio which was nice of them. I had a bay window and tons of room for my two nights in Perth. My first time to Perth was 13 years ago. The city has changed a lot since then. Easy to walk to the train station and around the city. Some good bakeries and places to eat in the CBD/downtown.” “Excellent location, near Perth City Centre and transport hubs. Modern, clean rooms. Good sized bathroom with a wet area. Comfortable bed. Shame the double room comes with only one chair and a single towel hook in the bathroom.”
“Ana was awesome- so friendly, courteous and helpful. Wrapped the present for me so when I get off my flight I can give the gift straight away. Such a great experience in the shop.” “Ana Banana gave me really personable service in selecting gifts and essentials. She was friendly, thoughtful and very helpful. Thank you so much for your wonderful service.”
“DFO Perth is a shopper’s paradise! The variety of stores is incredible, offering fantastic deals on everything from fashion to homeware and more. It’s the perfect place to find high-quality brands at outlet prices. The layout of the mall is modern and easy to navigate, and there’s always a vibrant atmosphere that makes shopping here enjoyable. The food court also offers great options for a quick bite or a relaxing meal. What I love most is the convenience—ample parking, friendly staff, and an all-in-one shopping experience. Whether you’re hunting for bargains or just browsing, DFO Perth never disappoints. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for great deals and a fun day out!” “Well… it’s not _that_ bad. There is ample (paid) parking, and the space is reasonably air conditioned. The challenges are blocked urinals, taps in the toilet that don’t work, and a _number_ of seats undergoing “maintenance”. So yea could be better as well.”
“We included the Perth Observatory in our tour of the Bickley Valley on a Saturday afternoon. We were immediately greeted by lovely volunteers and opted to do a day tour with our family of 5 (2 adults, 15yo, 12yo, 6yo).We were guided by Patrick, who was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. Our family had a great time viewing the telescopes and learning about the history and the role Perth has played in some monumentous scientific endeavours. We are looking forward to returning for a night sky tour soon!” “First time coming here, and I was very pleasantly surprised! Harry, the very informed guide who explained a lot how the solar system works and the sun ? absolutely amazing ? info. I'd like to come back at night one day. The kids loved it, and the ladies there are so lovely and helpful ? thanks for making our day great.”
“Glass bottomed boat seemed a little pointless but I guess that’s luck of the draw, island is lovely but tour guides version of what goes on vs rangers is very different. Tour was not really a tour, it was minimal information no real tour and potentially provides some misinformation. The tourism is clashing with the conservation efforts and feel this overshadows the reasons for going.” “Operator for ferry and tour to penguin island. The staff was friendly and would help you sorting your tour to penguin island. They provide tours so you can learn about the penguins here. There also friendly volunteers who would tell you about the island. To be honest, penguins will go out early in the morning and only be back at late evening, and when the hatching season, the island would be closed for visiting. However the island is great, with really-really beautiful water plus the beach on the east side of the island is calm, so you can have a picnic, swim and enjoy beach moment here. There would be a lot of small lizard around but they are friendly.”
“The Perth Mint was recommended by a friend. We initially planned to visit during our holiday but found it too busy, with the next available tour requiring a 3-hour wait. Instead, we decided to return the following day and booked our tickets online. It was very convenient—we just arrived 10 minutes early to collect our tickets. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, which provided fascinating insights into the history of gold and included a demonstration of how gold is created. The souvenir shop also had some beautiful coin collectibles. Highly recommend visiting this place!” “Located at 310 Hay Street, East Perth, Western Australia, Australia ??. This was a wonderful experience but I definitely recommend booking online. It’s very popular, therefore, spots can fill up fast. The tour itself was fascinating. Full of information about the history of Gold, the demonstration on how gold is made enhanced the tour greatly. I loved watching the gold bar being poured. The shop was interesting, you could go crazy if you had the money . The museum was full of great artifacts. I found it so fascinating. I loved that you get the $2 mint your own medallion with the tour ticket. The Tour costs are - Adult $25.00 Child (5-15 years) $15.00 Concession $22.00 The Perth Mint is Australia’s official bullion mint and owned wholly by the Government of Western Australia. It was established on 20th June 1899. Along with the Royal Australian Mint, the Perth Mint is the oldest of Australia’s two mints that is producing coins that are legal tender. The Perth Mint initially served two purposes, one to produce coins for circulation in Western Australia. Secondly, the mint bought the vast majority of the gold mined in Western Australia, which at the time was done mainly by “diggers” who had migrated to WA from other states and also from other countries. Even though Western Australia took part in the Federation of the Australian Colonies in 1901, Perth Mint remained under the control of the UK government until 1st July 1970 when ownership was transferred to the government of Western Australia. I would absolutely recommend visiting this fascinating piece of history. Thumbs up!!! ???”
“As always the staff were very kind and professional. The hotel has good security and both the hotel and room were very clean and well presented. Nice sized TV and we were lucky to be on the 8th floor with a widespread view. There's a hidden cupboard with the iron and ironing board, as well as a yoga mat that must be new. The double shower head is a favourite of mine, I've never felt so warm, I didn't want to get out!” “I just wanted to say thank you to your team we met over the weekend. From check in to checkout they were amazing. The sparkling on arrival and the anniversary gifts were amazing. The room was so clean and well presented. I was so impressed by the design and layout. Having stayed at much more expensive accommodation this felt a step above. Our dinner and breakfast were awesome and really complemented our stay. The service in the restaurant was as perfect and again I complement the staff in their friendly manner and professionalism. I will kit only recommend you but we will be coming again. Thank you so much for making my wife and my 10th wedding anniversary so special.”
