If you're excited to see a new landmark in the city, the first Mitsui Shopping Park Lalaport in Southeast Asia is set to open in Kuala Lumpur in 2021! Occupying a large site where Pudu Prison was once located, the project is a joint venture between Mitsui Fudosan (the same company that developed Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang) and Bukit Bintang City Centre.

Mitsui Shopping Park Lalaport in Kuala Lumpur will be a part of the soon-to-be developed Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC) that includes The Stride Strata Office, a four-star Canopy Hotel, a two-block Lucentia Residences, and an entertainment hub. According to Mitsui Fudosan's website, shoppers can also get direct access to the mall via LRT and KL Monorail, which also comes with a pedestrian walkway to the MRT station.

Mitsui Shopping Park Lalaport will also have Malaysia's first concert hall by Sony Zepp Hall as well as a Grand Bazaar featuring a variety of local artisanal goods. More details will be released once Mitsui Shopping Park Lalaport is ready to open in Malaysia's capital city.

Currently, there are only three shopping malls of its kind located in Japan including Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Tokyo Bay, Mitsui Shopping Park Urban Dock LaLaport Toyosu, and EXPOCITY. While we wait, check out these amazing hotels that are connected to Kuala Lumpur's top shopping malls.
