If you've been one of those people anticipating something new from McDonald's, your wish is here! Presenting to you, the new Hokkaido Salmon Burger, which is already out in stores. Made specially with salmon from Hokkaido, it promises you the feeling of being there when you savour your first bite. Well, if you want to know if it's worth all the hype, read on to find out ?

We had the privilege of trying out the burger before it was officially launched. While we're always used to salmon being grilled, the idea of having it fried didn't really appeal to us at first. But boy were we pleasantly surprised! The salmon was rather juicy and it barely had a fishy taste.

The coating of Panko bread crumbs (usually used in Japanese fried dishes) over the salmon really enhanced the taste of the patty. Even the non-seafood lovers in our office did not have any complaints about the burger. Not to mention that the roasted sesame mayo sauce paired well with the burger too. We just wished the patty was slathered with more of the sesame sauce ? So, our verdict on the Hokkaido Salmon Burger: it's worth the hype!

The best part is, your favourite Seaweed Shaker Fries is back too? Now, who can resist this tasty treat? And it comes with a new shaker bag too, so shake away!

What's a Japanese meal without matcha as desserts right? Finish off your meal with all things matcha - soft-serve ice cream, hot fudge sundae and Matcha McFlurry ?

So, if you've been dreaming of a Japanese-themed meal at McDonald's for the longest time, you should definitely head down to the nearest McDonald's now and satisfy your cravings. We bet it won't be long before you'll say "Oishii!"
