For visitors to Tokyo, passing through Tokyo Station is a pretty common occurrence, whether you're changing lines, heading out for day trips from the city, or just marvelling at the bustling station and its surrounding area that's a mix of historic buildings and skyscrapers.

Tokyo Station is a great place to also stop and take a breather for Muslim travellers, not just because there's a prayer room available there (located at the JR East Travel Service Centre), but halal food is also available nearby too! And a new halal food option just became available - Mazulu has recently opened an outlet that's just a 3-minute walk away from the station!

Mazulu is an eatery that serves authentic Lanzhou ramen - we're talking hand-pulled noodled served in a delicious beef broth, topped with generous helpings of beef slices, coriander, and chilli oil ?

Mazulu's original store located in Jimbocho opened in 2017 and quickly earned a reputation for its flavourful beef noodles and reasonable prices. And good news for us, Manzulu has now opened a second outlet located at GranTokyo South Tower, which is located right by Tokyo Station and connected through a direct passage, which means it's a cinch to get there! Similar to its Jimbocho outlet, Mazulu's GranTokyo outlet has obtained halal-certification by the Nippon Asia Halal Association ?

At the store, you can choose from nine different kinds of noodle thickness, ranging thick noodles all the way to extremely thin. Each bowl costs JPY950, and you can choose whether to include or exclude certain toppings or even add on extra servings of beef!

So the next time you're in Tokyo Station, you now know of another halal-certified (and delicious!) option where you can stop and refuel before continuing your exploration of Tokyo!
