Just last December, the Malay Heritage Centre organised its very own luxury glamping experience called Kampong G(e)lamping @ MHC. Well, if you missed that one, here's some good news! You can experience a 2D1N glamping experience in Kampong Gelam once again during the upcoming March school holidays ?

Back by popular demand, you'll get the opportunity to wake up in the lovely grounds of MHC and immerse yourself in the rich Malay cultural atmosphere of Kampong Gelam. The MHC posted about the event on their Facebook page just a few days ago.
Ticket sales will start from 11 February at 12PM and if you're interested in the experience, you'd want to save the date as slots are limited! There are a total of 10 slots, and only 2 per day from 16 to 20 March 2021. It costs $450 and is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Each tent will also be able to accommodate 4 people, which can be both adults and children (2 years and above). Check-in is at 2pm and check-out is at 10am.

You'll be able to sleep under the stars on the grounds of the MHC in a tent specially fitted with a portable aircon and fan, 2 queen-sized beds with fresh linens and a blanket, 2 large bean bags, a 70-inch projector screen with unlimited access to movies and shows, free Wi-Fi and rugs/carpets ? Not to mention that there'll be speakers, a cooler box with ice and decorative props for IG-worthy shots too.

The MHC has also been certified by SG Clean so rest assured that they've taken proper precautions to keep you safe and healthy throughout your stay ? The tents, beddings and props will undergo deep cleaning, sanitisation and disinfection. Those involved will also have their temperature taken and recorded before entering the premises and masks will have to be worn at all times.

As part of the 2-day programme, the trendy and glamorous glamping experience is given a cultural twist as you'll start your first day with a guided walking tour of Kampong Gelam. Learn the history and culture of the area - from iconic landmarks like Sultan Mosque to kitschy IG-worthy street art like the murals along Haji Lane. A specially curated tour of MHC's signature galleries is also included - you'll even get to a chance to see their special exhibitions, like the Urang Banjar exhibition!? Meals will also be provided and there'll be an outdoor cooking class and a beginner's yoga session you can look forward to!
