6 Light Shows & Light Festivals That Are Happening In Singapore Right Now

With the holiday season and New Year's just around the corner, there are plenty of events that you can look forward to with your loved ones. If you're looking for things to do at night, there are a couple of light shows and light festivals in Singapore that are Instagram worthy. From the light shows at Marina Bay to Jurong Lake Gardens, here are 6 light shows and festivals that are happening in Singapore right now.

1. Shine A Light, Marina Bay

Instead of the usual New Year's fireworks, Marina Bay is lighting up in a different way this year! As part of the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2021, 60 moving light beams will illuminate the Singapore skyline every night from 8PM-10.30PM (last show extended to 11.45PM on 31 Dec). Every 15 minutes, you'll be dazzled by a light animation show which runs for 3 minutes.

When: 1-31 Dec 2020, 8PM-10.30PM (last show extended to 11.45PM on 31 Dec)

2. Share The Moment, Marina Bay

Another highlight of the Marina Bay Countdown 2021 is Share The Moment, which features light projections on the facades of The Fullerton Hotel, The Merlion and ArtScience Museum. But there's more meaning to these projections - some of them feature student artworks which were inspired by organisations & individuals who stepped up to help others in the COVID-19 pandemic.

When: 25-31 Dec (ArtScience Museum starts from 26 Dec), 8PM-10.30PM (last show extended to 11.45PM on 31 Dec)

3. "A Better Tomorrow" Festival of Lights, Jurong Lake Gardens

For a visual feast, head over to Jurong Lake Gardens for its Festival of Lights which feature handcrafted lanterns by 100 professional lantern masters. Some of the lanterns are replicas of famous tourist attractions from around the world, including Mt Fuji, Taj Mahal, the Golden Gate Bridge, Burj Khalifa and more! Perfect for those of you who miss travelling ? You can even hang a sky lantern or release a water lantern.

When: 18 Dec 2020 - 3 Jan 2021, 7PM-11PM

4. Dino Dazzle

If you haven't had time to visit the Changi Jurassic Mile, how about visiting it at night instead? With the Dino Dazzle light-up, you can see your favourite dinosaurs illuminated by festive lights ? There's also an IG-worthy 25-metre light tunnel that you can take photos with.

When: till 3 Jan 2021, 6.30PM-1AM

5. Sparkling Christmas At Jewel

Apart from the HSBC Rain Vortex, Jewel Changi Airport becomes even more magical this season with festive lights and a huge Christmas tree. With a cool temperature kept at around 23 degrees Celsius, the Sparkling Christmas at Jewel will definitely give you the winter vibes. Plus, you can experience "snowfall" daily at the Shiseido Forest Valley at 6.30pm, 7.30pm, 8.30pm, 9.30pm and 10.30pm. To get into the snowfall area, you'll have to spend $30 nett on a single receipt which will admit 2 people to the Shiseido Forest Valley on the same day.

6. Orchard Road Christmas Light-Up 2020

Even though you might not celebrate Christmas, it's always nice to soak in the festivities by admiring Christmas light-ups! One of the best places for that is at Orchard Road!
