Calling all little LEGO fans! Some of Asia’s brightest young builders have just put their creativity to the test at the LEGOLAND® School Challenge 2026, with teams from Malaysia and the Philippines taking home the top prizes.
Now in its fifth edition, the competition brought together 451 submissions from six countries – Malaysia, India, Singapore, the Philippines, Hong Kong and China. From these, 15 teams made it to the Grand Finale, where they tackled this year’s theme: “The Ultimate Theme Park Ride.”
And what a creative ride it was!
In the Junior Category, Puteri Mini Makers from SK Cyberjaya, Selangor emerged as champions. The Mavericks from SK Kubang Kerian 3, Kelantan took the top spot in the Primary Category, while AJHS BluBLOC from Ateneo de Manila Junior High School in the Philippines won the Secondary Category.
Beyond building cool creations, the competition encourages children to explore STEAM concepts, problem-solving, teamwork and critical thinking through hands-on LEGO play. It’s a fun way for young builders to turn big ideas into colourful creations!
And the winners have plenty to look forward to. The Primary and Secondary champions will enjoy a trip to LEGOLAND® Shanghai, while the Junior champions will get to experience LEGOLAND® Malaysia. All three winning teams will also receive LEGOLAND Malaysia Annual Passes, LEGO sets, trophies and Certificates of Achievement.
