For those flying with Firefly and Malindo Air, rejoice as your trip to the Subang Skypark is now convenient with KTM newly-operated rail link that starts from KL Sentral! ?

The best part is it’s FREE for the entire month of May and the ride only takes about 28 minutes! We feel that it definitely helps cutting down the travel time in half as the traffic between KL and Subang Jaya can be nerve-wracking. ?

According to a few media outlets, this project is worth RM521 million and was initiated by the government in 2013. While they expected it to be completed in 2016, unfortunately they were met with unforeseen circumstances ?, hence the project was given a time extension until this year.

If you’re wondering how far it is from the airport, it’s only about 300 metres away and you can easily make your way through a covered walkway and travellators! ?

According to the general manager of KTM, the frequency of the ride will be at 60-180 intervals in May and will then change to hourly intervals from June onwards!

The first train from KL Sentral will depart at 5.30am daily, while the last one will be at 9.25pm, whereas from Subang Skypark, the first train leaves at 7.50am daily, and the last train at 11.20pm. There's no confirmation on the ticket prices, but we hope it won't be too pricey. ?

So if you’re travelling anytime soon from Subang Skypark, you might want to take this opportunity and ride for free. ? As the intervals can be long, we advise every traveller to plan your time wisely, and happy travelling!
