This province on Thailand's southwestern coast is famous for its beaches, resorts, and also accessibility to beautiful nearby islands like Koh Yao Yai and Koh Phi Phi. But for Muslim travellers, it's also a great place to visit given its sizeable Muslim population, meaning halal food and facilities are pretty easy to find! We had asked our readers on Instagram recently for recommendations on places to stay in Krabi, and Ao Nang Phu Pi Maan got an overwhelming amount of votes! But it's easy to see why - for one thing, the hotel is a Muslim-run hotel that caters to Muslim travellers needs, including fully halal food served at the resort, and no alcohol on the premises! There's also a mosque located just down the road.

Beyond the Muslim-friendly amenities, the resort is a beautiful one, decorated in a style that's a mix of contemporary and Thai. Set in a setting with views of Krabi's mountains, it has all the facilities you could need. A variety of rooms are available catering to couples or even larger groups. Many of Krabi's resorts in Aonang (especially the more affordable ones!) tend to be close or within walking distance to the public beach. But at Krabi Resort, you get to enjoy a private breach - the resort is the only one in Ao Nang that has a private beachfront!

8. Andakiri Pool Villa

Andakiri Pool Villa is a cluster of villas on the slopes of a hill where you can have that special retreat for two. Available as 1 or 2-bedroom villas, each villa comes with a living and dining area, kitchenette, and outdoor balcony in addition to the pool.

The villas are far away enough from the busy town area, but close enough such that it's easy to pop out for meals or to the beach! The resort provides free shuttles to and from the beach every 2 hours starting from 9AM and ending around 10PM.
#HHWT Tip: Do note that if returning from the beach, tuk-tuks can't access the villas given a steep slope leading up to the entrance, so you'll need to rely on taxis or Grab (i.e. cars) to get back right to the entrance. In addition, you can also arrange for paid private shuttles with the hotel as another alternative.
