Yup, you heard that right Muslim travellers! In collaboration with Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), Korea will be holding its' first ever Halal Restaurant Week?
If you can't fly yourself over to Korea in a week, don't worry! The event itself is actually 40 days long, from November 1 - December 10, so you have some time to book that flight?

There are 95 restaurants joining the event, classified into 4 categories: Halal Certified, Self Certified, Muslim Friendly and Pork Free. Halal-certified restaurants are certified by the Korea Muslim Federation (KMF), with self-certified restaurants owned by Muslims. Muslim-friendly restaurants are restaurants offering Muslim-friendly meals/menus which can be vegetarian, seafood or Halal food but may also serve alcohol.
Disclaimer: Restaurants classified under Pork Free will serve pork-free food but that does not mean that the meat is halal! Do ask the staff beforehand and dine at your own discretion.
The event was launched as a means to provide Muslim tourists with necessary information about Muslim friendly restaurants across the country. The best part? You can even get a coupon booklet with all kinds of discounts?

In the booklet, you'll find different offers for different restaurants; free complimentary items, discounts and/or gifts. At every restaurant, there'll even be samples of halal Korean products such as halal cosmetics and traditional drinks?

Exchange this ticket for a coupon booklet at Incheon Airport Tour Information Center, Insadong Maru, Itaewon Tourist Information Center or at any KTO branch office.
