What is a cronut?

As huge foodies, we're always on the lookout for halal desserts and pastries in Kuala Lumpur. The thrill of coming across new cafes and bakeries in the city is unlike any other and we're excited to add another to our list today. Say hello to KLCG Confectionery & Bakery, an amazing halal bakery where you can enjoy one of the most famous desserts from New York City: cronuts! A cronut is a hybrid croissant-doughnut dessert invented by pastry chef Dominique Ansel - owner of Dominique Ansel Bakery in New York City. Ever since its debut, the cronut has become a super popular dessert in The Big Apple.
