Awarded by the National Fish & Chips Awards, it’s a pretty huge deal for the locals there as it is regarded as the ‘Oscars’ of the industry so you don’t have to worry about the authenticity of it ;)

Run by a team of father and son (aww!), it’s no surprise that the chippy is crowned the best in the country – especially when they’ve been in around for 4 generations!

It might take 3 hours for you to travel from London to York, but we're sure it'll be worth every minute of your journey there. The chippy serves the usual fish and chip meals where you can choose from haddock, cod or plaice - affordably priced between £2 and £4! What a treat!

A delicacy for all, their food is responsibly sourced and suitable for a broad range of diets. They have a halal menu, where the food is cooked separately using vegetable oil. Plus, their staff are properly trained to handle the different dietary restrictions of diners so you can be assured that there would not be any cross contamination in the kitchen.
