This morning, 38 eateries in Singapore were awarded the Bib Gourmand rating in the inaugural Michelin Guide Singapore 2017. In order to qualify for the rating, these eateries must offer good value meals at affordable prices. Last year, there were THREE halal eateries.
This year, unfortunately, Hjh. Maimunah Restaurant (known for its kampung styled traditional Malay and Indonesian food) and Wedang (known for its Tahu Goreng, Satay and Gado Gadoh) are out of the list? This leaves us with only ONE halal eatery in the list!

That's right! Bismillah Biryani is the only halal eatery to make it onto this year's Michelin Guide!

Arguably one of the most authentic biryani in Singapore, you can choose between lamb, chicken and fish biriyani. We personally recommend their Mutton Dum Biryani!
With tender, well marinated meat infused with fragrant herbs and spices on top of fluffy Basmati rice, you can expect to have a full and hearty meal?
Be warned though, no gravy or dalcha (a stew made from mutton, chana dal and tamarind) is served with their briyani. Instead, you’ll be served an accompanying dish of yoghurt with onions and green chilli, which gives it a spicy kick!
P.S. No ghee is used so you can indulge without feeling too guilty about it ?
