Even with Singapore’s hot weather, soup is still something we may all crave once in a while (or maybe even all the time). That’s where Jjigae Jjigae comes in! Located conveniently at the heart of Raffles Place, Raffles Xchange and started in 2017, it isn’t exactly a new face in the Korean food scene in Singapore but it does have a few tricks up its sleeve in terms of dishes. ? It used to be known for personal hot pots ideal for single portion dining, however, now that it’s halal-certified, it pivots towards customisable stews!

If you’re a fan of Korean food as much as we are, this will have to make it into your to-eat list! ? As its name suggests ‘Jjigae’ means stew in Korean and that’s exactly what you can look forward to when dining here. You get to create your own Jjigae and add your very own personal taste to it!

Choose from four flavours of stew bases, each starting at a base price of SGD7.90. You’ll get options like Premium Collagen Chicken Stock, Korean Kimchi Stock, Miso Collagen Chicken Stock and Spicy Collagen Chicken Stock! ?

Extra add-ons to the stew will incur additional costs, so the price of your DIY Jjigae may differ from others, however, you can be spoiled for choice from just looking at the topping options! Choose your soup base, then veggies, noodle type (thick or thin) and protein! If you’re feeling extra fancy and want to add a little something more to your Jjigae bowl, you can add NZ grass-fed Beef Brisket and/or Sirloin Shabu Shabu, Blue Mussels or Prawns for more flavour! ?

For a limited time, Jjigae Jjigae is giving diners get a free upgrade (worth S$2.50) of kimchi and a drink.

But if you’re not feeling in the mood to create your own stew, you can always choose from their fixed menu where all the hard decisions are made for you. ?

If your mouth is watering by now, SHARE this with your friends and family (perhaps maybe colleagues too?) to let them know, they’ll be wanting to set a day and time for a stew lunch! The best part is Jjigae Jjigae is healthy, affordable and delicious!
