While travel is not on the cards right now, Japan has plans to subsidise domestic travel once COVID-19 is under control.

Japan is looking to revive tourism in the country as the number of foreign travellers fell drastically in April this year, as compared to other years. There were only about 2900 foreign travellers visiting Japan - a 99.9% drop from the previous year.
