Finding a prayer space while you’re travelling can be a difficult task. Most of the time, we settle with praying just about anywhere as long as it’s clean and there aren’t too many people walking around. But Japan has just made it easier for Muslim travellers.

A Japanese company has created a mobile mosque which was unveiled earlier this week and its aim? To make Muslim visitors feel more at home ? Also, with the 2020 Tokyo Olympics approaching, this mosque will help to provide more prayer spaces for Muslims!

The mobile mosque may look just like any other truck but it can expand and it even has an entrance with stairs leading to the prayer space. What's more, there’s even an outdoor tap and washing area for you to do your wudhu ? It can accommodate up to 50 people.

The best part is that it can travel to different Olympic venues so Muslims can have a place to pray when they go for events. As if Japan isn't already Muslim-friendly enough, this mobile mosque makes us love Japan even more.

Right now, there's been no word yet on when the mobile mosques will be rolling out or how many there will be but it's currently parked at the Toyota Stadium in Toyota City, near Nagoya.

Other than the Olympics, the company also hopes it will be used for other Japanese or international sporting events. So next time, you might just see it elsewhere in the world. But for now, if you’re heading to Tokyo to watch the Olympics, rest assured you don’t have to worry about finding a place to pray! And for those of you who aren't planning to go for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, perhaps now you should ?
