What is Cinnabon?

Cinnabon is a popular American cinnamon roll dessert franchise chain. ? They're a common sight in the States with multiple kiosks found in areas with high pedestrian traffic such as malls, airports and even rest stops (that's how popular they are!). One of their most iconic menu items is their cinnamon rolls and coffee. Its thick sugar glaze on top that drips down the sides is what differentiates it from other cinnamon rolls!

You can instantly tell the difference between Cinnabon’s cinnamon rolls when compared to the typical run off the mill cinnamon roll! The thick sugar glaze is generously dolloped on top of each roll. You can almost smell it just looking at the picture!

According to a response on their Instagram page, here are their responses to our enquiry about their halal status:

“Our ingredients used will not have any pork, no lard and no alcohol.”

“We will be looking into getting Halal certification but as per the Halal application process, the shop would need to be in operations first.”

"We will definitely update if/when we embark on Halal certification in due course."
