This Brazilian eatery has been making its rounds across social media. Bringing together class and extravagance, the restaurant prides itself on its premium meat as well and their beautiful decor that is fit for any occasion. From celebrations to professions of love, it's a great place to hang out and enjoy some great food with great company.

Another reason why it's been catching others attention (and ours too!) is the halal status of the restaurant. So what is it?

Is Casa Brazilia Halal?

We reached out to the restaurant and they have confirmed with us that they are not halal-certified. However, they are Muslim-friendly as they have confirmed with us that:

  1. Their kitchen ingredients and suppliers are from companies that are approved by MUIS
  2. No pork, lard or alcohol is used in their cooking
  3. All the meat used are 100% halal as well
  4. Their head chef is a Singaporean Muslim

They have included the halal certification for their meat in their correspondence to us too! Their meat are from Brazil and are all halal-certified by FAMBRAS which is the Federation of Muslim Associations in Brazil. You can learn more about them here!

However, they do serve alcohol at their bar in the restaurant. The bar is separated from the main dining area and the kitchen.

What can you expect?

Casa Brazilia has a lot of dishes to offer that give you a taste of what Brazilian cuisine is! There is a difference between Weekday and Weekend menus, whereby if you're coming in on a Monday for lunch, you'll be offered a la carte options for their Small Bites, Starters and Mains. There are Pao De Queijo (Brazilian Cheese Bread), Moqueca (Brazilian Fish Stew) or Bife De Casa which is a marbling wagyu sirloin. You can even create your very own Brazilian Plate.

On weekends, they offer a buffet menu for both lunch and dinner. Their Dinner Buffet costs ($79++) and features a selection of meats that will be cut, tableside, for you to enjoy. There's picanha, tenderloin, pernil de cordeiro (leg of lamb), file de lombo com ohlo (sirloin with garlic) and more.

In terms of table service, they offer dishes such as Banana Empanadas and even Coxinha, which is an iconic Brazilian delicacy that combines tender chicken with crispy cheese.

Casa Brazilia offers a unique and interesting array of dishes, with smatterings of Portuguese on their menu. It is a Muslim-friendly restaurant that uses 100% halal-certified ingredients, however, they do serve alcohol at their restaurant. No alcohol and non-halal ingredients are in their kitchen. The bar is separated from the dining area. We hope that the article is informative for you!
