Assalamu Alaikum today is Eid UL ADHA Only one mosque in Macau Nossa Senhora Fatima beautiful and heritage. Not too big but can offer our prayers comfortably. Every Friday peoples give charity as a food to everyone. It has graveyard inside the boundaries of mosque.

Very unexpected madrasah-sized masjid to find since Macau is a catholic region. I went during Ramadan time with my family so it was nice to see the tight knit Islamic community within Macau where there were people from Pakistan, India, countries from the Arabian peninsula and Africa as well as Indonesians and Malays. The food prepared was delicious (and free of course). The praying area was quite small but enough since there aren’t many Muslims in Macau anyways. The graveyard is located right next to the masjid. It’s a short walk away from the bus stop so it’s pretty easy to access. The whole masjid was located in a jungle type of area but it’s still nice nonetheless.

Please visit the only Masjid in Macau if you’re not a Muslim and talk to the people and check it out. If you’re a Muslim, I think it’s a must visit.

Historical site, redevelopment pending 5 years ago. Previously, I made this post, and until now it is still the same situation, if not in a more dilapidated condition. The visit was facilitated by a Macau NGO together with the Asia Pacific Youth Development Foundation. The Macau masjid is located on Ramal dos Mouros near the back side of the Reservoir. The present temporary masjid was constructed in the early 1980s beside a historic cemetery, with centuries old graves located in a green area. . Another tourist attraction in the area is the Museum of Communications, which could be developed as a visit route. Unfortunately this area is closed during the Macau Grand Prix held yearly.

The oldest mosque in Macau and heritage. The mosque not well maintained but ok to visit and pray. Hope more renovations and improvements to be made. Good its easy access to public transport
