My recent visit to the mosque was overall enjoyable, but unfortunately, I encountered some issues with the behaviour of a few volunteers. While most of the volunteers were helpful and courteous, there were a couple of individuals who acted in a rude and inconsiderate manner, particularly during Ramadan. It was disappointing to see such behaviour in a place of worship, where kindness and compassion should prevail. However, I was pleased to see that one of the offending volunteers realised their mistakes and took the initiative to apologise to me. I appreciate their honesty and willingness to make amends, and I hope that they will continue to serve the mosque community with the respect and dignity that it deserves. On the other hand, there was another volunteer who displayed thuggish behaviour and did not acknowledge their mistakes. This type of behaviour is unacceptable and should not be tolerated in any context, especially in a place of worship. Overall, I urge the mosque leaders to remind all volunteers of their responsibilities and expected conduct when serving the community. It is important to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone who visits the mosque, regardless of their background or circumstances. With a collective effort, we can ensure that the mosque remains a place of peace, tranquillity and unity for all.
Classes of Ustadh Muzakkir can be attended here, I have found them very beneficial. See Island Knowledge Program for more information. A fairly clean, modern facility. We had a our nikah conducted here and it was a very nice experience for us and our families.
Amazing place which also spreads beneficial knowledge and respectful brothers like the volunteers and workers here and the Muslims who come to pray. Just needs better seperation with the males and females as some men come for prayer like esha and see women just hanging around the front as we should try be keeping them as hidden. Best place is getting them out the other door and not cause anyone to be in a hassle or get them out after the prayer times as other people have also complained about this not just me. But other than that it's a beautiful place.
Lovely mosque run by a strong and respectful bengali community. Welcoming to all, provides lessons, clean prayer spaces, beautiful Jammah congregation prayers. Feel very blessed to have such a lovely mosque run so well next to my home. Alhamdullilah.
