If you're heading to the Petronas Towers in Malaysia, trust me, you HAVE to see this incredible mosque!! (Asy-Syakirin Masjid) The way it blends Malaysian and Turkish architecture is just mind-blowing ... And the park around it? Picture this: you're surrounded by these massive skyscrapers, but you're in this peaceful, beautiful green space. It's a truly unforgettable experience!
The Asy-Syakirin Mosque, located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC), is a stunning architectural gem that seamlessly blends modern design with traditional Islamic elements. Situated just a stone's throw away from the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, this mosque is a must-visit for both worshippers and tourists seeking a serene and spiritual experience in the bustling city. The Asy-Syakirin Mosque is not just a place of worship but also a symbol of Malaysia's rich Islamic heritage and modernity. The dome, adorned with geometric designs, is a standout feature that adds to the mosque's grandeur. See my photos!! The place is well-equipped with modern facilities. There are separate ablution areas for men and women, which are clean and well-maintained.
Masjid As-Syakirin KLCC is a great place to stop by for prayers, especially if you’re already around the KLCC area. The mosque is surrounded by tall buildings, so the view, especially during sunset or at night, is stunning with the city lights all around. Inside, the atmosphere is peaceful—perfect for taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you’re here for iftar, the food provided is quite good and filling. However, parking for cars can be quite tricky since spaces are limited. But if you take the MRT, it’s really convenient as the KLCC station is nearby. Riding a motorcycle is also a good option since parking is much easier. Overall, it’s a great mosque to stop by for prayers while enjoying the KL city vibes.
Asy-Syakirin Masjid KLCC: A Review Asy-Syakirin Masjid KLCC offers a convenient and spiritually enriching experience, particularly for those working or visiting the Petronas Twin Towers and the adjacent K-Avenue shopping mall. The mosque's location is a major draw, making it easily accessible. It boasts a great architectural design, providing a visually appealing and serene environment for prayer and reflection. My experience performing Friday prayers there was great!
