The district is a must for those who like fashion and a fun day outside in Seoul. Many restaurants and expats, bars and clubs with an international touch. Next to very traditional Taylor shops and 90s style malls. Also, excellent vegan restaurants and pastry shops.

Itaewon is a vibrant mix of Korean and western influence, global food experiences, and nightlife, offering a dynamic and lively experience day or night. Many Korean bbq places

We arrived later in the afternoon, just as many of the shops were closing and right before the nightlife really started to pick up. It was a lovely and peaceful time to walk around and take in the atmosphere. Next time, I’d love to come earlier in the day to explore the markets and shops while they’re open. Then I’d definitely return at night just to enjoy the amazing food and vibrant restaurant scene. Overall, it was a wonderful experience

My wife and I visited on a Saturday night, 6/7/2025. It was quite crowded and hectic. There was a very international, younger crowd visiting this area.
