275 Jangchungdan-ro, Jung District, Seoul, South Korea
Doota Mall, situated directly opposite DDP, is a duty-free shopping center in Dongdemun. It offers a diverse range of brand outlets catering to both children and adults. The top floor provides a stunning panoramic view of Dongdemun Plaza, while the basement houses Korean cuisine restaurants. While Doota Mall is a haven for brand enthusiasts, it is essential to note that it does not offer significant discounts throughout the year like some other venues. The operating hours are from 11 am to 10 pm.
The Doota Mall is located in the Dongdaemun area of the Seoul city, very near to the JW Marriot hotel. The mall have retail shops for clothes, shoes, jewellery, souvenirs, cosmetics and many more. This Mall also have a very wide variety of dining restaurant, offering Korean and pan asian cuisines. The food court and restaurants serves diverse culinary tastes, offering everything from traditional Korean dishes to international cuisine. The dining area is spacious and comfortable, providing a place to relax and recharge.
Right across DDP, easy to find and get to via bus/subway. There were some empty lots, so it felt a bit empty during a weeknight, but it's a cool place with a variety of things to see and shop. Arirang is here too, so it's easy to get Halal food souvenirs! The boots on the same level were nice too (we got 2 pairs)! Next to it is another mall so you can shop till you drop if this one doesn't satisfy you.
Full of work by local designers as well as big brand names, this mall has fashion, accessories and food of all sorts! Located right next to the DDP main building/museum, this is a frequent stop for me. The sloping glass front makes for a great viewing platform while you sip coffee or munch on pastries from the coffee shop upstairs, and you can appreciate the incredible architecture of the area.
