101 Upper Cross St, #01-04 People’s Park Centre, Singapore 058357
Review of 一素品 Yisupin at People’s Park Centre I recently tried the vegetarian stall 一素品 (Yisupin) located at 101 Upper Cross Street #01-04, inside People's Park Centre, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The first thing that stood out was the generous portion sizes. Whether dining in or taking away, each meal felt like great value for money. Despite the hearty servings, the prices are very reasonable, making this a fantastic spot for anyone looking for delicious, budget-friendly vegetarian options. I started with the chef-recommended Sarawak Kolo Noodle ($5.00), which was a delightful balance of flavors and textures. The noodles had a great bite, and the seasoning was spot on. I also tried the Bak Kut Teh with Rice ($6.00), a vegetarian take on the traditional herbal broth, and it was incredibly satisfying, filled with rich, earthy flavors. The local delight Meesiam ($4.50) was a real treat too – tangy, sweet, and just the right amount of spice. Finally, I took away the Nonya Rendang Nasi Lemak ($5.80), and it was simply amazing. The rendang was fragrant, and the nasi lemak had that perfect coconut rice aroma, making it a great choice for a takeaway meal. Overall, I highly recommend 一素品 Yisupin for its delicious food, big portions, and affordable prices. It’s a must-try for anyone in the area, whether you're a vegetarian or just looking for great food.
The stall is hidden behind if you are coming in from the mall. I had Mee Siam and Crispy cutlet Kolo Mee and felt the crispy cutlet was really nicely done, well marinated and definitely crispy. The dishes were also well-portioned, and I felt like I got great value for the price. Whether you're a vegetarian or not, the food is satisfying and full of taste. Definitely worth trying. Note that Mee Siam and their Bak Kut Teh is only available on Tues, Thurs and Sat. Whereas Laska is available on odd days of the week. There was a bit of waiting time due to the lunch crowd but still reasonable.
The stall is closed on 初二 & 初十六 Lemon Sweet Monkey Head Mushroom at $6.50 is incredibly good! ? It's tangy, chewy and juicy with every bite. I do not generally like achar but they are absolutely delish! Am happy with the fresh green vegetables included in the bento as well. 感恩? Wanted to try number 3 Mushroom Udon but was sold out. In the end, ordered Mee Siam for $4.50. Mee Siam comes in a relatively large portion! Nice food and great service. Pyramid Nasi Lemak is indeed unique and delicious! ?
Was on an adventure with my sister and we were looking around for food to try. Have never been to this part of the mall before and fair warning that it’s located at the back of Food City! We were drawn in by the sarawak kolo dry noodles and decided to try that with the thai sauce crispy chicken chop brown rice set. Pleasantly surprised by the generous servings and also the corn soup was so good!!! Healed my soul. Kudos to the chef for making sure the noodles were well mixed with the sauce before passing it to us - really appreciated that gesture. To top it off, the food was reasonably priced as well. Am definitely bringing my friends and family to try next time :) thank you for the great meal!!
SO GOOD MY PLATE WAS CLEAN!!! in an inconspicuous spot but this was honestly one of the best meals i’ve had - so much so that i had to write this review. you can’t even tell that its vegan! generous portions for an affordable price. usually pictures on the menu are deceiving, but not for this shop. the food was as beautifully plated and vibrantly coloured as the pictures show. the mushroom sarawak kolo mee was QQ and well-mixed with the sauce, paired excellently with the mushrooms, vegetables and fried wanton skin. the thai sauce chicken chop was succulent and well coated in the sweet, spicy and tangy thai sauce. a really generous portion of brown rice that filled the entire plate. achar on the side was well seasoned, a bit on the sweet side and not too spicy. was pleasantly surprised to receive free corn soup! you could tell it has been simmering in the slow cooker for a while as it was steeped in the flavour of the corn. overall a delicious meal as evidenced from my very clean plate and bowl. i’ll definitely be back for more.
