We loved this place! Very good food and decent prices (a bit spicy). The staff are so sweet and gave us several extra things for free. Recommend this place for all vegetarians!

GREAT FOOD. We went for an early dinner not knowing what to expect. The restaurant is small but the food is great. We had the Nasi Merah Makassar, Nasi Goreng Rendang, Mie Ayam and the Pangsit Goreng. It was perfect. A meat eater and lover of Rendang who was with us found the Rendang at Vegexpress as good as the best Rendang he ate at meat serving restorans Padang. We will certainly go back.

Vegan food galore! Healthy, fresh, clean and scrumptious with the loveliest owner ever! From the moment I walked in the owner greeted me and clearly explained what's on the menu for vegans, and also a little bit of history about the influence on their Indonesian/Chinese dishes. I opted for the "Vegan Ayam Kalasan" with tofu, and customised it to add vegetables and a vegan egg. I also wanted to try the vegan meat skewers and I asked for them to not be sweet as I prefer my food savoury and it was made to perfection and according to my taste. Even though the place doesn't have an AC but it's completely cozy and cool inside, this is due to the many plants the owner has outside of the restaurant that she meticulously takes care of. I recommend everyone, vegan or not to give the place a try if you want to have food that is healthy and filling at the same time in Jakarta.

We had the best time here. The owners are very sweet and welcoming. They told us a lot about the food, Indonesia and Jakarta. As Tourists we learnd a lot. It‘s not as loud as in other places in Jakarta and the food was very good.

Great food, but even more: we felt like we were welcomed as family and our grandmother was taking care of us! They were so kind, even though we don’t speak Bhasa & they speak little English.
