Food is great. Serving portion is generous and definitely comparable to US culture. Ordered 4 dishes but there’s only 2 of us. Luckily it’s lunch + dinner meal for us thus we are able to clean all. Overall experience is good and recommended for ppl who are into vegetarian. U will not be disappointed.
Before I step foot into Busan, I already knew it's gonna be tough to find vegan/vegetarian food. Little did I know, the first vegan restaurant I went to, is one of the best I ever had. During my one month trip in Busan, Vegenarang was my first vegan restaurant and I'm glad that I was staying near there for the 1st half of my trip. I lost count of the times I went there, which I'm sure it was at least 15x (to the extend that the waitress know me) I love all the dishes and I tried all the dishes; My all time favourite - Deep fried oyster mushroom. I order it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Thank you, for providing such awesome food for vegetarians. I will visit when I come back to Busan again.
Vegan and allium-free eatery serving Korean temple cuisine. There's a 9-course meal available only with advanced reservation, 7-course meal available for order on the day of visit, and an a la carte menu. I got the Lotus Leaf Rice Set which allowed me to try a variety of items, and I found it quite value-for-money, since the menu leans towards being on the pricier side. Food was delicious and not bland at all despite not using alliums. Located some distance away from Gwangalli Beach (known as a good spot for viewing Gwangan Bridge light-up every night and Gwangalli M Drone Light Show every Saturday), closer to Millak Waterside Park. You can stroll there or take a bus!
Vegenarang isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a place that feels truly welcoming every time I visit. I’ve been here many times, and each experience is consistently warm, peaceful, and memorable. The food is incredible, but what keeps me coming back just as much is the amazing staff. ? From the moment you walk in, the team greets you with genuine smiles ? and thoughtful attention. They’re incredibly kind, attentive without being intrusive, and always happy to explain the menu or accommodate special requests. You can feel how much care and pride they put into every part of the dining experience. ? The bean cutlet is my absolute favorite—crispy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. ?✨ The tofu dishes are delicate and deeply satisfying, perfectly capturing the essence of Korean temple cuisine. ? Every dish feels prepared with intention and respect for both the ingredients and the guest. The peaceful atmosphere and ocean view ? only add to the charm, but it’s the staff who make Vegenarang truly special. I always leave feeling cared for and eager to return. ? This place is a gem in every way, this is the truth! With all my Metta, Noah
