It was a pleasant experience overall. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, with warm lighting and comfortable seating. Whether you’re looking to work, catch up with friends, or just relax, this cafe provides a great atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu, making great recommendations. Overall, The Warung is a great spot for coffee lovers and casual visitors alike. I’d definitely recommend it and plan to return!
Drop by after lunch for dessert. The waffle portion is huge so is good for sharing. We ordered Sweet Waffle - Fruity which is a great choice given its refreshing flavour so we really enjoyed it very much as we couldn't eat anything too heavy after our feast of local penang food for lunch. This place definitely serve very good quality waffle with their homemade ice cream.
The Warung is such a cool spot near Chew Jetty, love the semi-industrial, laidback vibe. Cozy, a little raw, but super welcoming! Tried their Mango Taro Waffle and it was amazing, fresh mango ice cream, creamy taro paste, crunchy granola, QQ jelly, and Melaka sauce. Every bite was a perfect mix of sweet, refreshing, chewy, and crunchy, perfect for the Penang heat! Also loved the Half2 Waffle, you can mix and match flavors, which is perfect if you’re indecisive or just want to try more. For drinks, the Hot Matcha was earthy and smooth (not too sweet) and the White Cappuccino was creamy and rich, great if you like your coffee a little lighter. Super chill vibes, photogenic desserts, and creative flavors, a must visit after a walk around Chew Jetty!
? ᴛʜᴇ ᴡᴀʀᴜɴɢ - ᴠɪᴄᴛᴏʀɪᴀ - One of those cafes that feels like a gem you almost want to keep to yourself. I dropped in for a light afternoon break and tried their kaya toast, affogato, and Sparkling Black for something refreshing. Simple choices, but done so incredibly well. The kaya was rich and fragrant, the toast perfectly crisp, and the affogato hit that sweet spot between creamy indulgence and bold espresso kick. The vibe here is cozy and thoughtfully curated, warm lighting, charming decor, and a space that invites you to linger. It's easy to see why this place gets so much love. Their waffles are the standout (and huge!), I considered ordering one myself but since I stopped by other cafes/eateries earlier in the day I had to pass for something smaller. What I appreciated most though was the friendly staff, knowledgeable, relaxed, and genuinely welcoming.
My favourite place to go for waffle. Honestly their waffles are the best and i also love their food. It’s limited but healthy options. Their drinks are also good. Overall love coming here. Definitely the best waffle i had in Penang to date. The service is good and the owner is super friendly. Be mindful its hard to find parking so best to grab or carpool to come here. Will definitely go here again.
