6th Avenue &, W 53rd St, New York, NY 10019, United States
Highly recommended. Best food truck ever. Queue was worth the hype and anyways the queue moved very fast due to the efficiency of the staff. Everything was served super fresh and hot. Had the Beef and Chicken Combo on a regular size and to be honest almost struggled to finish it because the portions are so generous! Well worth every calories with the quality of meat and also how crunchy the lettuce/tomatoes are. Pita bread was also toasted to perfection and just at the right level of crispiness. Definitely having another bowl before I leave NYC. What an amazing brand and business, made out of pure passion and basic offerings of protein and vegetables in a bowl. Absolutely one of the better meals I had in NYC and at such a reasonable price compared to the rest!
Eating at the original The Halal Guys cart on 53rd Street and 6th Avenue in Manhattan is more than just a meal—it’s an experience. The line itself, often long and winding, builds anticipation as you watch others emerge from the cart clutching their steaming platters of chicken or beef over rice. The aroma of sizzling meat and the sight of workers swiftly assembling plates add to the magic. Finding a spot to eat is part of the adventure. Whether perched on a nearby curb or standing at the edge of a building, balancing your plate with one hand and a soda in the other, the chaos only enhances the authenticity. The real fun begins with their signature sauces—the creamy white sauce and fiery red hot sauce—which turn every bite into an explosion of flavor. Pair it with sips of ice-cold soda, and you’re in street food heaven. Rain, snow, or summer heat, there’s something undeniably satisfying about diving into this greasy, delicious meal under the open sky. The Halal Guys is not just about the food—it’s a quintessential New York moment, a perfect blend of grit, flavor, and community that never gets old.
Best food truck stalls in New York. Honestly, it’s like a historical landmark of food. Halal guys is a staple, they serve excellent bowls of deliciousness. Got a nice chicken bowl on rice with the white sauce and red sauce, it was so filling and good. Regular size is only 11$ and large is 12$. It’s a lot of food. Queues can get a bit large but it’s worth the wait. The staff are super friendly and they have about four food stalls to queue for.
If you’re in New York, The Halal Guys is a must-try! It’s one of the city’s iconic street food spots you simply can’t miss. The line may look long, but don’t worry — they manage the queue super well and work incredibly fast. You’ll have your food in no time. We ordered 3 dishes for a total of $31, and the portions were super generous — enough to fill us up completely. The highlight? Their signature sauces! Packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. Plus, the staff taking orders were so polite and friendly. Overall, it was a great experience. Definitely coming back again!
