One of the best Indian restaurants I ve eaten in lately. Their egg fried rice and paneer curries were drool worthy. The food was reasonably priced and was excellent.

I visited with my family for dinner. The starters were fantastic, offering an authentic Indian taste, and the paneer tandoori was incredibly soft. The main course was great as well. However, the only downside was the Schezwan noodles, which were too spicy. If you decide to order them, make sure to consider the spice level.

I had a fantastic experience at Taste Of India Mt Eden yesterday. From the moment I walked in, the customer service was top-notch—the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout. Their knowledge of the menu and genuine hospitality made the visit even more enjoyable. I ordered the Kadhai Paneer with Garlic Naan, and it was absolutely divine. The paneer was fresh and perfectly spiced, with a rich, aromatic gravy bursting with authentic Indian flavors. The garlic naan was soft, fluffy, and generously topped—ideal for scooping up every bit of the delicious curry. The presentation was vibrant and appealing, adding to the dining experience. What truly sets this place apart is the consistency and care in both their food and service. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Taste of India in Mount Eden, and it was a truly delightful experience from start to finish. If you're looking for authentic Indian flavors and a memorable meal, this restaurant should definitely be on your radar. For my starter, I opted for the Malai Kabab Chicken, and it was an absolute revelation. The chicken was incredibly tender, marinated to perfection with a delicate creaminess that simply melted in the mouth. It set a high bar for the rest of the meal, and Taste of India certainly delivered. For my main course, I chose the Paneer Lababdar paired with a fresh, warm Garlic Naan. The Paneer Lababdar was a symphony of flavors – rich, creamy, and subtly spiced, with perfectly cooked paneer cubes. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into their gravies, as this dish was incredibly satisfying and comforting. The Garlic Naan was the ideal accompaniment, fluffy with just the right hint of garlic, perfect for scooping up every last bit of the delicious curry. Throughout my meal, the service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive atmosphere. Taste of India has clearly mastered the art of traditional Indian cuisine, offering dishes that are both authentic and incredibly flavorful. Our work group had been here for dinner. We had quite a few dishes. Malai chicken, seekh kebab, samosa chaat, goat curry, beef makhani, beef vindaloo, garlic naan and cheese naan. Every dish was so tasty and flavourful and had the right amount of spices. We will definitely be back.
