Huge selection of delicious, fresh halal food with dozens of stalls, selling everything from skewers to pad thai and soft shell crabs as a crunchy snack. Go at sunset for a view and experience you'll never forget.
Halal food, super tasty, cheap, 7eleven is just in front and plus point : beautiful sunset ! Also, the stalls are all along the main road which is busy, so, do come with bikes rather thn car Love the roti, sliced grilled beef, super juicy chicken, grilled banana with the caramel sauce, samosa and popiah. Super hungry & foods were too good hence, no photos ?
Cheap halal food and great sea view. Plenty of choices of thai local food and delicous. We stayed at The Nature Hotel which is just 5 mins walking distance away. Opposite the street food, there is 7/11 convenience store. Only have to be mindful, as it is located along kalim beach, the traffic is always busy at that area. Fellas, if you are after fine dining, table service, and nice sterile atmopshere, stay home and don’t travel the world. If you dare then go try the Kalim Beach Street Food Market. Up the road from sleazy Pa Tong, Its authentic, tasty and so cute. Humble hard working people providing you with glorious food - by the people for the prople I had whole grilled fish that was sitting in salt and stuffed with lemongrass shoots. It was awesome! On the side i had shrimp and crab dumpling. So good. Also try the bbq skewers. About 10 BHT per stick with veg and meat options. 5 person family and all we spent was $AU50. It’s worth it.
This is one of the best street food experiences I’ve ever had. The place is small yet charming, and despite being popular among locals, it never feels overcrowded. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with genuinely friendly people who go out of their way to help, even with minimal English. Unlike the more tourist-heavy areas where you feel like you’re constantly negotiating for a fair price, this spot offers incredible food at honest prices—no haggling needed. It’s authentic, delicious, and absolutely worth it!
