180 Lygon St, Brunswick East VIC 3057, Australia
?✌? This restaurant in Brunswick is unmissable, so I and my friend had to definitely check this place out. The restaurant felt as if it had been there for quite some time, just an observation. I really liked the simplicity of the place. Nothing too distracting, cozy and light. ?? It was raining cats and dogs outsiy, so we decided to have some snacks in the evening. I ordered a Choley Bhature ($14.95) and an Aloo Tikki Chaat ($12.95) for my friend. The chaat arrived in about 10 minutes, although I had to wait a little longer for my food. One reason being that the restaurant opens at 5 p.m., and it was the day after new year, so they were preparing everything from scratch, which meant longer waiting time but delicious food. After about 20 minutes or so I received my food and it was very good. The bhatures were amazing, I just wished there was some more chholey to go with them, but with the curd, onions and pickles, I had a great culinary experience. Also, their menu is quite comprehensive, so there's a lot to choose from. My friend was similarly satisfied with his chaat, and he's a picky eater, so this compliment coming from him says something. ???? The staff were amazing, especially Hari, who ensured that we were enjoying our meal. I'd also like to point that there was a small piece of plastic from a plastic container in the chaat, which we pointed out and weren't charged for it. Instances like this makes one appreciate the place even more. Overall, I had an excellent time in this restaurant and with so many diners arriving during the course of our meal, this place is definitely doing a great job!
Local gem! Every time we come here, food is consistently good and of high quality and the prices are very affordable for decently sized portions. Staff is friendly and accommodating. They cater for coeliacs and other allergy requests, as a coeliac I’ve never had an issue or reaction afterwards.
We had an amazing dinner at this place last night! The jackfruit and green banana curry paired with garlic naan was an absolute standout. We also tried the fish tikka and rohu fish—everything was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. Honestly, it’s some of the best Indian and Nepali food we’ve had in Melbourne. The staff were warm and helpful, making the experience even better. Highly recommend this spot for anyone who loves Indian or Nepali cuisine! Thanks to Hari and the team.
Great food, the place is very clean and run by professional staff & owners. I went last night (4th time I visit this place) and always impressed with the flavours and the menus. Highly recommend the non vegetarian platter and the butter chicken. The owner is a great guy, real hospitable unlike anywhere else
