What did we have? - Oysters - two variants - Scallops - Lamb empanada - Burrata with bread - Wagyu of the day - Prawn Risotto - Brussel sprouts - Two cocktails Food 4/5 - The food was fantastic overall, the empanada, burrata and wagyu were particularly good. - The only negative were the oysters. They were small, not fresh, and not really well seasoned. Drinks 3/5 - The cocktails were premade, and although they tasted nice, they needed a little more depth and more alcohol. Atmosphere 4/5 - Beautiful place, but surprisingly noisy, busy, and hot inside. Service 5/5 - Beautiful and responsive service. All the waiters were attentive even though it was the latter part of the night. Overall 4/5 It is a good fine dining place, with a more relaxed atmosphere, if you like what you see in the food menu, give it a go. Thanks for having us!
Social Eating House + Bar was amazing from start to finish! The atmosphere was so nice, and the staff were very kind and welcoming. The food—just wow! We started with the Savoury Donut, and it was incredible. It had the perfect crispy outside and a soft, flavorful filling that just melted in our mouths. Such a unique and delicious bite! Then we had the Wagyu Steak, and it was hands down the best steak I’ve ever had. Cooked perfectly, so tender and juicy, with so much flavour in every bite. We highly recommend this place especially when you’re looking for a good Date Night.
Unbelievable!!! Great bar staff - knowledgeable; entertaining and talented. Bar ‘menu’ was next level. Prices on high side but worth every-single- cent! The food was exquisite and delivered a taste sensation with every morsel. Can’t wait to go back !!!
2022 - First ate here and had the larger lamb dish and shared between two which was a very large meal but enjoyable. 8/05/2025 - Ordered the octopus for starter while others on the table ordered the quail and the burrata. Burrata looked really nice. The quail was deep fried which was very disappointing and this was not stated on the menu. It tasted good, but it looked like KFC. Octopus dish should be renamed to Chorizo with a little Octopus... seems chorizo is cheap and is used as a filler. Octopus also topped with kettle chips which cheapens the dish. Mains - lamb to share between two was a hit. Another person ordered the prawns (4 medium sized prawns for $48 with a small side of bread - what a rip off!) and I ordered the Korean wagyu - not really sure if this was beef/chicken/pork because they were fried crunchy balls of something which tasted nice but I was actually expecting slices of wagyu beef - so similar to the quail - I got something i certainly wasn't expecting and didn't really want fried food. No dessert for us and had minimal drinks. Cost $363 for 4 people. Atmosphere was good but there was a cold breeze all the time so I had to wear a jacket. Staff were attentive and more than eager to fill up our water glasses which makes for a nice change. Food came out within a good timeframe and were were finished in 1hr50min. Would return if I come back to Broadbeach but would ask more questions about the menu in future as what's specified isn't exactly what you get in some cases.
