21 Daeyeong-ro 85beon-gil, Seo-gu, Busan, South Korea
Small cosy eatery serving fully vegan Korean dishes (no MSG used in the cooking), along with a small retail corner selling vegan snacks such as candy, biscuits, and instant noodles. So happy to eat vegan versions of local food, and the items I ordered were all delicious! Friendly homely vibes, with the lady boss / chef serving us freshly cut fruits at the end of our meal too. While I was there, a bunch of Korean elderly entered the eatery without knowing it was vegan. The lady boss / chef patiently explained to them what veganism was, and they ended up enjoying their food, which I found very heartening!! Btw for the religious folk, the lady boss / chef said that all items in the menu can be made allium-free, except pyogo gangjeong fried spicy marinated shiitake mushrooms. Walking distance from Dongdaesin Metro Station, also within walking distance from Somang Stairs Monorail.
100% recommend!!!!! The food is just fantastic, the side dishes are always very varied and healthy. It may get packed sometimes at dinner time. There is vegan food inside too, such as crackers or noodles in a cup, so if anyone is struggling to find vegan food it is definitely a place. We even travelled quite far to get here and no regrets
What a hidden gem in Busan! Totally worth going off the beaten path. Amazing vegan food, lovely owner!
I loved my experience at Soban Vegan. The vegan soy chicken was the best fake chicken I’ve ever tried and the perilla noodles were such a unique and delicious dish. The owner was lovely and told us about the dishes and offered us more side dishes if we wanted. Overall was such a treat!
Cute little Korean restaurant with a lovely owner and amazing vegan food! I'll definitely come back!
