No. 8號, Lane 34, Section 2, Hankou St, Wanhua District, Taipei City, Taiwan 108
Ordered sichuan cool noodles and mushroom noodles soup with side dishes which were served very quickly and total price was NT150. Very popular as there wS a constant flow of customers when we were there though there were only 9 seats with 3 tables.
So delicious that I ended up eating lunch AND dinner here on two separate days! I think I ate here 5x during a 7-day period because the food was so amazing. It is filled with delicious flavor no matter what you get. My favorite was the cold sesame noodles though. They were creamy, umami, and light, elevated further through the addition of the side dish of tofu with cilantro. Staff are incredibly warm and lovely too. My favorite veggie place in Taipei! English menu is available, 2-3 tables for seating.
Really great food. I had the Sichuan cold noodles. Came with nice fresh veg, peanuts and spring onions. Lady told me to mix it all up - tasted so good. Husband got the hot spicy dry noodles. Loved them as well. English menu available. Really reasonable prices for the quality of food. Really friendly owners.
Nice spot for lunch in a quiet alley. They have an English menu when asked. Noodles were tasty and it was nice to get some fresh veggies. Really sweet and kind owners.
I’m really glad I visited this little back-alley restaurant. I was on a bit of a food crawl, planning to try a few different spots, and I wanted to start with some Sichuan-style noodles from a vegetarian place in the area—just for something different. After checking out some photos on Maps and knowing the neighborhood, I had a feeling it would be a tasty experience. Walking down a small alley in Taipei’s popular Ximen walking area, it was nice to get away from the packed main streets. The restaurant was easy to find, with a small line of people waiting to order. It’s a tiny place tucked into the entryway of a store. The man and woman running the kitchen were efficiently cranking out dishes, yet the vibe remained relaxed and inviting. The menu was displayed with pictures, but all the captions were in Chinese, which made ordering a bit tricky for me. Luckily, they have a super accessible system. They handed me a plastic-coated menu card with both Chinese and English and an erasable marker to mark my selections. When my turn came, I handed it back, and they directed me to an empty seat. Seating is simple—just two communal tables with room for about ten people. The smaller table was occupied by a couple happily devouring a spread of delicious-looking food, so I grabbed a spot at the larger table, which wasn’t too crowded. My food arrived quickly, and I originally thought I’d eat a bit here and move on to another stop. But once I took my first bite, I realized I had made a mistake—I wanted more! I had the cold Sichuan spicy noodles, and they were fantastic—I immediately regretted not getting a larger portion. I also ordered the mixed vegetables, which were cooked to perfection and primarily made up of spinach. I have a feeling that if I had arrived earlier, there would have been an even broader selection of ingredients. Unfortunately, since I hadn’t ordered extra upfront and they were closing up shop, I couldn’t go back for more. Lesson learned! Overall, this was a great little spot, and I’d love to come back earlier in the evening to try more dishes. If you're in the area and craving something flavorful, fresh, and vegetarian, this place is definitely worth checking out!
