We have visited most of the Sagar Ratna restaurants in Delhi but this is superb. The location could not be better. It is in Ashok Hotel, Chanakyapuri. Moreover, it is right next to the entrance and has plenty of parking. The food is excellent. We had Sagar Ratna special Thalli. It was perfect. The puris were huge. The submission were very tasty. The rasam was so nice and spicy as it should be. Papad, achar, curd, chutney and all was excellent. To top it all was the wonderful cup of filter coffee. The service was extremely good. Divakar our waiter did a great job. Many foreigners were enjoying their meal. The ambience was fine.

They had a beautiful presentation of food, and the ambiance is nice, but the food was extremely spicy! The flavors were rich and authentic, but the spice level was a bit overwhelming. If you love spicy food, you’ll enjoy it, but if not, be sure to ask them to tone it down. Overall, a good spot for South Indian cuisine, just be mindful of the heat.

Absolutely scrumptious food with benevolent atmosphere, nice- courteous staff, in a nutshell worth visiting

Authentic South Indian Food: Delicious and authentic taste of the South Indian dishes, especially the dosas, idlis, vadas, and sambar. Highly recommend the Fried Idli, Kanjivaram Idli, and Rava Masala Dosa. Friendly and Prompt Service: The staff is frequently described as courteous, attentive, and friendly, providing quick service. Good Ambiance: Interiors are a bit outdated Generous Portion Sizes: Highly appreciate the portion sizes, with the thali often cited as a good value. Hygiene: Clean. Popular Choice: It's a well-established and popular chain, known for its consistent quality. Price: Prices are to be on the higher side compared to other Sagar Ratna outlets or other South Indian restaurants.

The rava onion masala dosa and mango lassi we ordered were outstanding. The service was prompt, efficient, and well-coordinated. Furthermore, the staff displayed exceptional friendliness and courtesy. Our visit to the Ashok hotel was, as always, a nostalgic one.
