Had the most amazing lunch at Rick's place with my family. The buffalo chicken burger was a huge hit and I asbsolutely loved the Chicken caeser salad and we also had buffalo chicken and chips. OMG blown away. I want that recipe for the dressing for the salad and buffalo chicken! The gluten free donuts were incredible too. I left so full but wanting more. The service was so impressive and felt like home and Rick and staff were so welcoming and accommodating. I am heading back there asap!

Rick's Place was on our itinerary while we visited Melbourne from Brisbane and it did not disappoint! My daughter and I are coeliac and dairy free, and with our symptoms we need to trust in the food preparation when eating out. We enjoyed the best culinary experience, with entrees, main, dessert and we even bought lasagne to takeaway and have for dinner on the flight home to Brisbane! Rick and Andy were so hospitable, keeping their restaurant open past lunch for us to enjoy, we even got to experience new items coming on the next menus... meatballs and pumpkin icecream - amazing!! Highly recommend the lasagne- just like how i remember the non gf/df lasagna tasted! Our table had garlic herb and cheese bread, new menu meatball dish, linguine carbonara, classic cheeseburger, seafood special and pasta allo scoglio. The taste of the sticky date pudding was out-of-this-world, as was the affogato! The Italian doughnuts were a hit with the kids! Highly recommend for all diets - those with and without restrictions! Thanks Andy and Rick - you have created amazing food to share with the world! Next time we are in Melbourne, we will be back!!

First time dining at Rick’s place, I booked for us to eat here because I have a coeliac daughter and there was a wide variety of food for her to eat rather than just GF pasta! She could have her beloved chips and my mother who is vegan was also catered for! Food was delicious, husband said he would’ve liked a bit more chips with his burger! There was a bit of a long wait but there were 2 large tables and kitchen we’re doing their best under the circumstances, still enjoyed my dinner and was with the wait

This is now my favourite restaurant to visit whilst in Melbourne. To be able to enjoy great Italian cuisine without gluten dairy onion and garlic is truly a gift. Highly recommend, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about what’s in each dish. All made on premises so no contamination is possible.

I definitely have to start with service, as Rick and Andy are salt of the earth! They made us so comfortable with our young family, and you can see the pride Rick has in providing true hospitality; lovely chatting with him. Food was delicious, and even the bread is home made. We are impressed at their commitment to change any dish for any dietary requirement. Our one-year-old said “nice” for the first time pointing to his empty plate. Mains and desserts all delicious. We look forward to going back soon!
