One of the most authentic Indonesian restaurants in Perth. Their signature ayam penyet dish is as close to what you would get in Indonesia. Super friendly staff and extensive menu at an affordable price. Great family food destination.
It's always a happy news when I find a good Indonesian restaurant cos I always miss my home country food. I suggested Ria Ayam Penyet to my family as our next family gathering and we all really enjoyed the food. The food was authentic and original with very good choices and affordable price. We ordered a lot of food and what we really liked were the bihun bakso, iga bakar, satay and of course the ayam penyet. I also liked the refreshing es cendol. The service was really friendly and I was just glad to get the chance to speak a bit of Indonesian to the staff even though I'm very rusty ? What's even better was when I arrived, they played the classic and very popular romantic Indonesian song ~ Widuri ~ which brought back a lot of nostalgic bittersweet memories of my childhood in my hometown. Needless to say I was transported to a different time for a moment before my family arrived ? Anyway I'll definitely be back!
I highly recommend the soto ayam and satay ayam. The satay comes with a generous portion and big chuck of chicken. The satay sauce is quite similar with a good ones in Indonesia. The soto ayam is similar to Soto Ambengan and it tastes sok good. Will return to try rawon as recommended by a friend
Long overdue visit! Iga bakar did not disappoint, oh my it was delicious, deeply marinated and the charcoal aroma and taste was heavenly. I think I can just eat this and be happy. Nasi kapau was also impressive! Gado-gado tasty as expected. Sayur asem so flavoursome too - tho it was a bit too spicy for my friend. Happy happy tummy. Friendly service too, and pretty quick even though it was packed.
One of the best Indonesian restaurants in Perth. Ordered the new dish on their menu "Nasi Kapau" (with choice of fried chicken or beef rendang). I had very high expectations for this and was very satisfied with the meal. I didn't want to miss out on the kremes so ordered that as an extra for an added crunch. Also ordered Sate Ayam. Thick, juicy chicken pieces with smokey charcoal flavour. It came with pickled vegetables "acar" which was a nice touch. Hand washing station is very handy.
