This famous Indian vegetarian restaurant serves top class vegetarian food, especially the biryani sets, dhosai, vegetarian curries and even Chinese vegetarian options from India. AMBIANCE: Fabulous, well ventilated dining area and many Indian inspirations everywhere. PRICING : Slightly expensive, acceptable as this is an authentic Indian vegetarian restaurant with franchises all over the World. STAFF : Attentive and helpful. RECOMMENDED TO TRY : The kulfi is a must (Indian ice cream), biryani sets (the rice is moist and very flavourful), the Chinese dishes (try Gobi Manchurian, you will not regret it), onion dosa (crispy) and the Indian sweet options.
Saravana Bhavan doesnt need any introduction. It is a famous chain of South Indian Vegetarian restaurant. They have few branches in malaysia. In my opinion this one is the best. Their ambiance is good. Food quality is also good.
We had a very delicious breakfast at Saravanaa Bhavan and enjoyed a variety of Dosas. The Ghee sprinkled Dosa filled with spicy potatoes and the Dosa filled with mashed potatoes were great and the chutneys provided gave us a perfectly tasty breakfast. Especially the Dhal and the mint chutney were outstanding. The Mango Lassi can also be recommended.
Yummy dosa and idli and vada! The atmosphere is nice too after they renovated the place. Staff are very nice, kind and attentive.
excellent South Indian vegetarian food with consistently high quality—dishes like masala dosa, thali meals, Gobi 65, and curd vada stand out for their authentic flavors. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and family-friendly, with attentive and courteous service that enhances the dining experience. However, the prices are noticeably higher compared to Saravana Bhavan outlets in other countries like India or Singapore, with a typical meal costing significantly more. While the food and service justify the premium to some extent, diners seeking value might find it on the pricier side.
