Weid 406, 3822 Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland
Huge thanks to the lovely lady Madelgne – her service was absolutely wonderful. The food was top-notch, showcasing authentic Swiss local flavors. A solid 10 out of 10. I’d definitely recommend everyone to come and visit!
We had a very nice time at this place. It is located just under the main waterfall, in a very iconic place in Switzerland. The raclette we has was delicious and the quantity abundant. I would say that it is rather cheap as well for Swiss standard (about 25 CHF for the raclette). If the weather is nice, I strongly recommend eating outdoor. Plus, the staff has been very gentle. Try it out if in the area.
After an unforgettable, yet exhausting, journey to the majestic Jungfraujoch, our family of three found ourselves back in the enchanting village of Lauterbrunnen, famished and searching for a late dinner. With most establishments closed, we were directed to Restaurant Weidstübli, nestled within the picturesque Camping Jungfrau. Stepping inside felt like entering a cozy alpine retreat. The restaurant exuded a warm, inviting charm, with a rustic yet elegant decor that perfectly complemented the stunning natural beauty surrounding it. The gentle hum of conversation, the soft lighting, and the overall ambience created an atmosphere that was both relaxing and magical. The service was truly exceptional. Our waitress, with her genuine smile and attentive demeanor, made us feel like valued guests. She was knowledgeable about the menu, offered helpful recommendations, and ensured we had everything we needed. Her kindness and efficiency elevated our dining experience from simply enjoyable to truly memorable. And then there was the food… oh, the food! Every dish was a masterpiece of flavor and freshness. We savored the hearty, traditional Swiss cuisine, prepared with obvious passion and skill. The ingredients were clearly of the highest quality, and the portions were generous, satisfying our hungry appetites perfectly. The flavors were authentic and comforting, a true taste of the Swiss Alps. Restaurant Weidstübli was more than just a place to eat; it was an experience. It was a haven of warmth, delicious food, and exceptional service, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of Lauterbrunnen. If you’re fortunate enough to find yourself in this magical valley, don’t miss the opportunity to dine at Weidstübli. You’ll leave with a full stomach and a heart full of wonderful memories. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day.
After trolling around Staubbach Fall, we were looking for something a bit different than just pork/ beef/ burger. I was interested in the menu so we decided to come. There is both outdoor and indoor eating. The service was fast and attentive despite the busy dinner time. We ordered smoked trout for our appetizer, mac and cheese, trout filet, 2 drinks, and banana sundae ( which is very different from the States but in a good way) Overall all the food was good with great presentation . Gnocchi could be better if less salty. I would come back for other dishes. Fyi- the proportion is quite big, which is a good thing.
Amazing food and great local experience. You should never come to Lauterbrunnen without having dinner at Weidstübli. Must try dishes are the rösti and the äpler makkaroni. Madeleine is a wonderful waitress and always served us with a smile. You should definitely make a reservation.
