We ordered here twice during our stay at surfers paradise and the food was amazing. The biriyani was good quantity and amazing quality and aroma, we also ordered tandoori chicken, butter chicken and garlic naan which were all done to perfection. Kids loved it so much that we came back a second time. Highly recommend this place if you like indian, and also quite reasonable prices for Surfers paradise. Thank you for a good experience.

The worst experience with the food. 5 families , in total 20 people, visited it on Easter Sunday. It is a horrible experience.

1. Gobi 65 was ordered and it was spoiled. Foul smell was there from the food.
2. Noodles were cooked used oil. Oil would have been used for deep frying and it was totally burnt. We couldn’t eat it .
3. The dosa batter was spoiled and dosas were foul smelling.
4. The mango lassi was worst. They mixed some powder to make it and it was orange in color and can feel the powdered texture. Ordered 6 of them and couldn’t drink anything.

Of all this bad experience, the total bill was $525 including surcharge. Totally ripped off.
The owner was arguing why is food not good. If it’s foul smelling what can you say.

I advise others to find other restaurant rather visiting it.

Priyas Surfers Indian Restaurant offers flavorful Indian cuisine that truly hits the mark. We tried the fried rice, chicken Manchurian, and masala dosa, all of which were well-prepared with rich spices and satisfying portions. However, the ambiance feels a bit dated and could use a refresh to elevate the dining experience. The service also leaves room for improvement, as it lacked attentiveness and polish. With some updates to both the atmosphere and staff approach, this place could be a real gem. As it stands, it wouldn’t make my top 20 Indian restaurants in the Gold Coast.

We had a mixed experience at Priya’s. The food, unfortunately, was not up to the mark—the Tandoori chicken was served completely frozen and essentially raw at first. They did remake it after we informed them, and the second one was much better. However, the prawn curry was also undercooked and really disappointing.

That said, the service was genuinely good. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly—she handled the situation professionally and did her best to make us comfortable. The owner also came to speak with us, which we appreciated, but it was a bit surprising that no discount or gesture was offered considering the food issues. With better consistency in the kitchen, this place could really improve, especially since the customer service was great.
