My friend and I have always been on a quest to find the most authentic and delicious Nepali Dal Bhat Set or Nepali Thali Set, as we absolutely love this hearty, king-worthy meal. We’ve explored nearly every Nepalese restaurant in Seoul in search of authenticity, and finally, Pooja Restaurant delivered the most authentic and delicious Dal Bhat we’ve ever had in the city. What truly sets their Dal Bhat apart is the black dal—cooked to perfection—paired with fried vegetables and meat, all spiced just right to bring out rich, bold flavors. A standout detail was the melted ghee served over the rice, an essential touch that elevated the entire dish. Unfortunately, many other restaurants skip this crucial element, compromising authenticity, but Pooja Restaurant got it just right. The service was equally remarkable, with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The young waitress was attentive and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Finally, we can confidently say our search for the perfect Dal Bhat in Seoul is over. From now on, we’ll be enjoying this dish exclusively at Pooja Restaurant.

Trying Indian food in Korea.....not bad actually.....chicken tandoori and chicken butter masala tastes nice plus the naan bread and biriyani are ok......

Halal Indian food in dongdaemun. It’s tucked right in the corner. Food was good, the tea was a missed despite being in an Indian restaurant. But the food definitely calmed our cold stomach!

The food was nice Indian food the service was so and so they had more focus on their family and tv than customer service. Compared to how many other restaurants in the area consider if Indian food is what you want, else other places might be worth visiting.

Pooja is a small Indian restaurant located on the 4th floor. They serve halal food, and the dishes are delicious and served very hot. The staff are friendly and speak English fluently. The seating is also comfortable. A great spot for a warm and tasty Indian meal!
