Market, 146 Brick Lane Backyard, London E1 6QL, United Kingdom
A Gem in Brick Lane Market!! We had a walk yesterday in Brick Lane Market, my wife and my son. As we heading to the main road, our eyes have been caught by this little stand "PlanXology" When I have read it's vegan I was kinda, ok.....I love my meat but I also love trying.... My little one wanted some chips, and I only wanted a hot drink, my wife wanted to try the samosas.... While I was drinking my massala/chai latte, the flavours of the drink really got into my throat....the ginger....the spices ...was all well balanced... And this is where I said ok,. Let's try few more. So we have ordered, the burger, called Vadapav....my goodness this was sooo delicious once again full of flavour, the bun was tender inside crispy in the outside, not too hot for you to actually devour it like I did as I even forgot to take a pic for this review ? The main ingredients I think was potatoes and peas (hope I got this right but feel free to check and taste it as this the main subject). So delicious!!! One of the best burger I have eaten!!! We have steamed rice with pommegrenates....along with the chickpeas curry for our main....once again ..well balanced flavour, well cooked chickpeas. You would probably think because the chickpeas curry remains the pot this will be mushy or very weak ..in fact the chickpeas are properly well cooked and the rice...wow! It seems only them can cook the rice like this, all grains were separated none sticky you can count them 1 by 1 if you wanted to? The Samosas, packed of delicious spices my wife found it a little too hot but for me it was just perfect?? And we also bought their take on Carrot Cake. To take away. This was divine! The most delicious carrot cake I have eaten by far! It is sweet yes...but the sweetness isn't coming from the icy sugar you have from a normal carrot cake which feels very heavy. We have been told to warm it for a minute ...and if we can serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream which we did OMG!! This is must!!! The guy made us taste one of their product which I can't remember the name, it is for what we understood is a starter or "amuse bouche" I will be going back there to buy and make a proper review on this one. So if you ever go to Brick Lane Market trust me, please do stop by and try whatever you want. From their Massala Tea, or the VadaPad Burger, the curry or the sweets. Whatever you try, either you are vegan or not, I can guarantee you would love this gem.
Authentic Indian food and good value, any dish with the tofu is a must try. The attention to detail with the sauces was exceptional. We loved the spicing on the mince and tofu, it’s great what’s been done with the fake meats/tofu. We go to Bricklane nearly every weekend and the tofu wrap is the best dish we have ever tried. Wish this was on Deliveroo!
We had a stroll along the Brick Lane Market and found this unique Indian food stall. We decided to try the Pani Puri (6 for £6) and it was mind blowing! It was the first time we tried the dish and we were blown away by the mixture of flavour and texture. It was a crunchy hollow ball filled with mashed potato, submerged in spicy, tangy, and sweet sauce. The vendor was very kind in explaining to us about the dish and how to eat it. Definitely recommended! Thank you!
We had the best Indian food here! It tastes like the curry’s in India and Sri Lanka, very original, tasty, spiced up so so good! And try the chai, also so so good ☺️
Nice little stall. We loved the pani puri.
