It’s cosy without being kitschy, though the ambience feels more dated than timeless. The setting works for a casual dinner but lacks the polish of a fine-dining experience.

Service
Functional but forgettable. Staff are polite, orders arrive without significant delays, and service feels transactional and adequate, but there is nothing to elevate the experience.

Food & Drink
The palak paneer is creamy and well-spiced, the gobi Manchurian delivers the perfect crunch-tang balance, and the bindi masala (okra) is a standout—charred yet tender. The naan, fresh and pillowy, is ideal for scooping up sauces. Vegetarians will appreciate that meat-free dishes aren’t treated as second-class options. Portions are decent but not generous.

Overall
Passage Thru India delivers on taste, with a menu that respects vegetarian diners and showcases well-executed classics. But the high prices and middling service make it harder to recommend wholeheartedly.

Food was delicious, perfectly seasoned and not too spicy, this place exceeded my expectations. We tried the tandoori medium platter, which was a little small for my expectations but every piece was so well marinated and grilled. The service was excellent and the staff were conversational and so friendly. The atmosphere was calm and well decorated, it smelled like a mix of spices, bread, and incense. We’ll definitely comeback to try more dishes!

Our second visit after five years and we found the dishes to be as delicious from before. Truly authentic Indian cuisine. Highly recommended.

Still the best butter chicken in KL. Morish but not greasy, chicken tender and flavourful. Match with the Tandoor Roti / Garlic Naan or just plain white basmati rice.  Tried the Manchurian Gobi too which was a surprise.
