Hong Kong, Wan Chai, Wan Chai Rd, 1號地下 One Wanchai
a lovely vegetarian cafe with lots of greens surrounding! the lunch set includes appentizer and a drink, i think they tasted ok. the carbonara was with udon not pasta, but it's a bit too boiled. it's the old wan chai wet market, rebuilt for urban conservation. i could still recall the time that here was occupied with chickens and ducks, wet and smelly!
OVO Cafe is one of the many cafes and coffee shops I bookmarked in Wan Chai; it is also the closest one to our hotel. I initially bookmarked this cafe because the interior looks absolutely beautiful, it is inside a flower shop, and it is a vegan cafe! Decided to walk over when it opens at 12pm today (Boxing Day), and got a seat right away. You have to scan your vaccination pass (aka blue code) upon arrival, and you order via QR code at the table (physical menu is also available upon request). It is very spacious inside with high ceiling, beautiful floral and green decors, and very friendly staff. We ordered the Cheese Fondue Lunch Set for 2, and it comes with a fruit x greens salad, and 2 drinks (you can order the free drinks or add a bit of money and get other drink items for this lunch set). The cheese fondue is obviously vegan, and because it is vegan cheese, it does get a bit clumpy, so be sure to stir, stir, stir to get the cheese more smooth before dipping. The set comes with 3 mini trays of food for dipping: baby corn, cherry tomato, broccoli, mushroom, potato wedge, tofu dumpstick, and toasted bread. For the drinks, we had a rose theme going on lol. I ordered the Rock Salt Rose Latte (you can select decaffeinated and the type of milk), and my partner got a pot of the Rose & Osmanthus Tea. It was a lovely lunch :) I can't wait to come back again to try the Chinese desserts!
Love this vegetarian place! Everything here looks so good! It’s hard to locate vegetarian options around this area, I’m so glad to have come across this restaurant. Friend and I ordered a light set meal , we came during lunch hours . The light set menu , slightly below HKD100 gives me 3 small meals and a drink. Depends on your choice, there are options to “upgrade” some food and drinks options, additional costs applies. Will definitely find time to check out other food as well! Dining experience 5/5 !
Delicious food, easy ordering, extensive menu, light and airy environment. Not the cheapest but the food is great quality.
We had good vegetarian food here. Laska noodles was the best dish. Go with their tea set menu. All day breakfast was average but rest were good
