Mumbaiwala in Ponsonby is an absolute gem! The ambiance is vibrant and inviting, perfectly capturing the essence of Mumbai street food with a modern twist. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor, from the refreshing Dahi Puri to the rich and tender Sali Boti. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations. It’s clear a lot of thought and care goes into every detail, from the presentation to the authentic taste. A must-visit spot for anyone craving high-quality Indian cuisine in a stylish setting. Can’t wait to return!

The lanb cutlets were the winner! Absolutely delicious! The styling of the restaurant is cool and staff were really helpful with ordering! Fantastic night out!

Another epic date night at Mumbaiwala! Hands down the most consistently good restaurant in Auckland! From the minute you arrive, the service is excellent! Friendly and inviting, like you’re good friends coming for dinner. The cocktails are superb! The coconut margarita is a MUST for a little delicious liquid appetiser. And the food… wowzer! I catch myself doing a little happy dance with every bite! We’ve been working through the menu and cannot fault any dish! Everything is packed with incredible flavour, balanced perfectly and the highest quality. It’s not often restaurants are consistently this good, but the team have created a fabulous space that will keep drawing you back. You won’t be disappointed!
