I knew this restaurant from my Instagram's wall. So here we came out of curiosity. The location is in the middle of an Islamic community in Surabaya. We ordered nasi spesial 5 daging bakar, roghni naan, and kambing khurma for sharing, plus mavo tea for each of us. The portion was humongous. We couldn't even finish those three dishes. They were supposed to be shared with four people. Of the nasi special, the rice was flavorful, but we liked the lamb meats better than chicken and beef. The chicken was as tender as the lamb, yet not as juice as the lamb. The beef was a clear loser. It was hard to chew and dry. We also liked the naan. It was thick but surprisingly tender and tasty. The naan was a perfect combination with kambing khurma. The lamb was tender and juicy, and the sauce was delicious; a perfect sauce for naan. The drink was no complaint. The services were quick, but the ambiance was far from comfortable. It was hot and squeezy. Overall, we spent about 240k for three people, which was supposed to be for four people.

I was in Indonesia Surabaya last week and It was an amazing experience to have my dinner at MKR restaurant. The best Pakistani restaurant who serves the authentic taste. The food is delicious and mouthwatering. The owner himself made sure to serve us with the best. The hospitality food quality was up to the mark. Thumbs up! If you are in Surabaya or planning your trip there I highly recommend you to visit this place and create your best food memories.

This is my third visit here. This restaurant serves Pakistani food. My favourite dish is the Nasi Special 5 Rasa Daging Bakar, a combination of chicken and lamb. It's a little bit spicy. If you're eating in a group, it's better to order the Talam Ayam. I ordered a Talam for four portions (as you can see in my picture)—definitely worth trying. The prices are affordable, and their sambal is absolutely delicious. The owner is friendly too. It's best to place your order at the cashier first, then go upstairs where there are many cozy lesehan-style rooms. You also get complimentary chai masala, which tastes like spiced milk tea.
