My dear colleague brought me to this rather hidden Indian restaurant. I have been to its other branch in Mount Austin but this is the first time I am coming to this branch. I was quite impressed with the view. There is a large lake teeming with fishes and wild birds like kingfishers and storks. The restaurant was empty when we arrived despite it being close to 1 pm. Service was quick and the food was fantastic, especially the chicken biryani and the butter chicken. Make sure to try the lollipop chicken as well. Nasi goreng ayam and mee goreng were excellent as well. Drinks were good too especially the Punjabi Tea. RM 260 for a group of 6. Not bad. Will come again.
Found this hidden restaurant while Googling place for our weekend lunch. The restaurant located inside the Johor Cultural & Sports Club at lower ground. Nice scenery and ambience by lake and pool. We ordered Mutton briyani (4/5), Fish briyani(3/5), Chicken tikka(3.5/5) and Fish haryali (5/5) which is a must try. Hope they increase the portion of side dishes as we feel the sides are very small in quantities compared to the price. Pricing: typical high end restaurant pricing Will definitely come again to try other items in menu.
The food is very authentic and tasty. We ate the paneer pineapple biryani with Punjabi Daal and bed karahi which delicious. The restaurant is tucked away off of the main road surrounded by a tranquil environment. Highly recommended.
Fantastic food, we ordered gobi manchurian, lamb shank briyani, fish curry, palal panee, butter masala paneer. The food was delicious, rich, and colourful. Finished off with a mild creamy masala tea with the on the house gulab jamun, which was star! Thanks for having us, Navneet and team. Definitely will go again!
Will always remember our first experience with Masala Grill. We were returning late at night and needed a quick fix for the kids. Managed to order just before the kitchen closure time and they accepted the order and ensured we received a delicious meal for the children. The next day, we decided to visit and it was again a memorable meal. A special mention to Ali who managed to ensure the kids received their food in time during an absolute rush time. He is quite amazing at his work and management should definitely take note and reward him for his hard work and brilliant spirit and grace with which he does it, despite clearly being short staffed. Must try for Indian food when visiting JB!
