180 Wong Chuk Hang Rd, Aberdeen, Hong Kong
There are a variety of food choices (both Asian and Western cuisine ) such as cold cuts, steak, sashimi (octopus), dim sum, and desserts, as seen in the pictures. Good: Quality and delicious food such as sashimi, dim sums (soup dumplings), steak, roasted fish, and desserts (créme brûlée) and seasonal fruits. Lovely Environment (a restaurant located in a holiday resort as if you were escaped from the hectic life in HK. ) Improvement: steamed fish was a bit too soft and tasteless. It would be better if they could offer a bit more side dish to go with the steak, eg. Roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, etc. Would be great if they could also provide decaffeinated coffee. We had our lunch here in May 2025, and it was a wonderful experience. Suitable for elderly too as there are a variety of Asian and Western food.
This was my first time having the lunch buffet at this hotel. They had a buy-one-get-one-free offer, and the weekend price was reasonable. The hotel’s atmosphere is fantastic—right as you enter the main hall, there’s a round aquarium that really gives you the Ocean Park vibe. The restaurant itself was very comfortable. The seafood, especially the snow crab legs and brown crab, was the freshest I’ve ever had at a buffet! However, there wasn’t much variety in the Chinese dishes—they were very salty, often cold, and there just weren’t many options to choose from. The wonton soup dumplings tasted pretty good at first, but then I found them really bland and lacking seasoning. Overall, I was happy mainly because of the seafood selection, but honestly, the variety at this buffet is quite limited. I also noticed water dripping into the salad section from the fridge, so I didn’t dare touch the salad. Hygiene really needs improvement.
We didn’t realize the restaurants at the hotel are so full. We stayed here for a long weekend and went to look for tables at the restaurant at 6:30pm on a Sunday. All the other restaurants were full and had waitlists. This restaurant was our last resort. The receptionist told us they were full but the manager came by and asked if we mind sitting in the corridor. She said she can bring the tables in from the patio and set us up for a table of 9. We were very appreciative of her flexibility and got seated in 10-15 minutes. The restaurant has a buffet or a la cart menu to accommodate different preferences. They also have a nice kids menu and the portions are huge!
